News Bulletin #4 (6th September 2024)
Following the success of the first public consultation held in February 2024, a second online Public Consultation is taking place between 6 September and 13 October 2024. We will hold the following in-person events which we invite you to attend. These will be:
- 17th September 2024, 13:00 – 20:00, The Viaduct, Old Bandon Road, Co.Cork. T12 ND34.
- 18th September 2024, 13:00 – 20:00 Actons Hotel, Pier Road, Dromderrig, Kinsale, Co.Cork, P17 PX80.
- 1st October 2024, 13:00 – 20:00 Actons Hotel, Pier Road, Dromderrig, Kinsale, Co.Cork, P17 PX80.
The purpose of this consultation is to inform the public of the proposed options within the study area for the project and the programme for advancement of the project. Public consultation forms an important part of advancing the development of an appropriate route for the project.

The project team is pleased to announce that the report for Public Consultation No. 1, which took place between 29th January and 29th February 2024, is now available on our website here. This report has been prepared to document the findings of non-statutory Public Consultation No. 1 and includes details of the public consultation process and the feedback from the public consultation.
Additionally, a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) is also available here.
The project team is currently in the process of developing potential route options. These options will be presented and discussed during Public Consultation No. 2 which is scheduled for September 2024.
Public consultation is a crucial part of advancing the development of an appropriate solution for the project, and we continue to value the public’s input and engagement. Thank you for your continued interest and participation in this project.

Public Consultation No. 1 took place between 29th January and 29th February 2024. This included two in-person events on the 7th & 8th of February at the Viaduct Bar and Kinsale Library respectively. The information that was displayed as part of the consultation is available here.
The purpose of this consultation was to inform the public of the study area for the project, the key constraints and opportunities identified to date and the programme for advancement of the project.
Public consultation forms an important part of advancing the development of an appropriate solution for the project. The project team would like to thank the public for their engagement during the period of the consultation and the valued feedback provided to inform the progression of the project.
The project team is now developing potential route options which will be subject to a further public consultation in Q3 of this year.
